Murray at Psychology Today

Murray is a social worker with an appreciation for the virtues of practical problem solving, stemming from his 30 years’ experience running the Adult Foster Care program in Frederick County. His training has been eclectic, but stands solidly on psychodynamic theory. He also draws from his personal training of over 40 years in Zen meditation, and has found it to be a powerful tool in working with those who are dealing with depression, anxiety, and stress-related issues. He has developed his own method for inducing a calm mind state, and encouraging clients to use that deeper quality of mind in the tackling of their personal issues. He enjoys working with children, adolescents and adults, whether in individual, or family therapy; he is available, as well, for working through men’s issues.
